Allyson comes from a family of dedicated public servants and has worked for the City of Cambridge’s Department of Human Service Programs for over 10 years. As Employment Planning & Development Director for the Office of Workforce Development, Allyson chairs the Reaching All Youth (RAY) group. This collaborative has representatives from many of the teen-serving agencies working with Cambridge youth to share information and resources as well as strengthen the quality of services provided to teens in this City. Because of these roles, Allyson has her fingers on the pulse of Cambridge, not just the services available to residents, but also the issues they encounter in seeking and receiving services. Allyson also consults to non-profit, out-of-school time programs in Boston as a grant-writer, fundraiser, planner, program designer and evaluator. Allyson completed both her undergraduate degree as a double major in Social Psychology & Criminology and graduate degree in Applied Sociology from UMass Boston in 2005.
