Fatiha Ainane is a valued member of the Local Enterprise Assistance Fund’s Elevate Small Business lending and technical assistance team, having joined the organization in 2023. In her current role, Fatiha is dedicated to empowering underserved small business owners by facilitating access to vital capital and comprehensive technical support, thereby fostering sustainable growth and economic resilience within the community.
Before joining LEAF, Fatiha served as the Lending Director at Accion, a prominent national Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). In this capacity, she played a crucial role in developing and implementing lending strategies that effectively addressed the unique challenges faced by underserved entrepreneurs across the United States. Her efforts not only increased access to financial resources but also provided essential guidance and mentorship to help business owners navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship.
Fatiha holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Northeastern University, which has equipped her with a nuanced understanding of global economic development and the socio-political factors that influence it. This academic background informs her approach to community engagement and economic empowerment, allowing her to advocate effectively for policies and practices that promote financial equity.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Fatiha is actively involved in her community. She serves on the boards of several organizations, including the YWCA Malden, ACEDONE, LEAF, ENROOT, Main Streets JP, and Women Money Matters. Her board service reflects her commitment to advancing social justice and supporting initiatives that uplift marginalized communities. Furthermore, she volunteers with the American Association of Arab Women, where she contributes her expertise to promote the interests and well-being of Arab American women in various spheres.
