Dear Enroot Family,
As we reflect on the year gone by, we are reminded of the incredible strength and resilience of the young people we serve. Throughout 2024, despite the challenges presented by political and societal changes, our immigrant youth have demonstrated an unwavering determination to succeed. Their stories of perseverance, grit, and hope are a testament to the power of community and the belief that brighter days are ahead. Your support fuels our mission to empower immigrant youth to achieve academic, career, and personal success.
Enroot student Liz Perez Sanchez is a senior at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School. She says: “It may feel like the world is falling apart, but I know that we are going to be OK”. She shared that what feels most special about the Enroot community to her is that she can count on the staff. That when something is happening, she knows that she can come to Enroot and she can get the help she needs.

During this time of change, Enroot youth have shared that their future seems uncertain and that they worry about the potential of deportation for their families and themselves. In a time when political turbulence can feel especially overwhelming to the immigrant community, it is more important than ever to empower young immigrant leaders with quality support, resources and opportunities that will help them navigate their current challenges and pave a successful path forward.
Through our 4-8 year holistic wraparound programming, students not only overcome barriers but flourish—excelling in their academics, building their career paths, and embracing their identities with pride. They are succeeding, not just for themselves, but for their families, communities, and the future they are working so hard to build.
There is still so much to be done. With your generous contribution this year, we can continue to ensure that our immigrant youth have the tools they need to navigate an uncertain world with confidence. Your support will help us offer more mentorship, workshops, and experiences that nurture their dreams and give them the strength to rise above adversity. Your support is vital in helping young people pursue their dreams, build careers, and contribute to society.
This year, we’ve also seen the power of unity. When we come together, we are stronger. In the face of political division, our youth have found solidarity in each other and in our community. With your help, we can build that spirit of unity and hope, creating a foundation where all young people can thrive, regardless of the challenges they face.
Liz, Cambridge student, says “Enroot has helped me discover what I like and my interests, and how I can choose a professional career. I have discovered them through activities and workshops where we named things that we liked and things that we were good at. I hadn’t thought about it before, and they helped me to start thinking about my future”.
As we approach the new year, we ask for your continued partnership and financial support. Enroot has set an ambitious goal of raising $80,000 by the end of December.
