James Tresner is the Executive Director of Bethany Hill Place, a housing and education nonprofit in Framingham. Previously, he spent 7 years as the ED of a summer camp and retreat center in New Hampshire, where he led a significant increase in enrollment and 15 fold increase in fundraising revenue. He has also worked at Year Up United and for the Watertown Public Schools, and spent a year teaching in Saudi Arabia. James is passionate about designing and implementing strategies to drive organizational growth and enhance quality, and finds inspiration in working with others to make the world more just and inclusive.

Outside of work, James has volunteered with Enroot as a mentor since early 2024, and also sings with and serves on the board of the Oriana Consort, an auditioned choir here in Cambridge. He is a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, and enjoys hiking, reading, board games, and spending time with family, especially his nephew.
